MIAMI (AP) — El escolta Ray Allen se reunirá esta semana con el Heat de Miami.

Una persona con conocimiento de los planes de Allen le dijo a la AP que el agente libre visitará el jueves a los dirigentes de los campeones de la NBA. Allen también tiene previsto reunirse el viernes con los Clippers de Los Angeles, según la persona que habló bajo la condición de permanecer en el anonimato porque no se anunciaron los planes.

Allen es una de las prioridades de Miami para la próxima temporada, e incluso su astro LeBron James tuiteó la semana pasada que espera jugar con el francotirador. Para que eso suceda, Allen posiblemente tendría que aceptar menos dinero del que recibiría en otro equipo.

Miami sólo puede ofrecerle un salario de poco más de tres millones de dólares para la próxima campaña, casi la mitad de lo que los Celtics de Boston podrían pagarle a uno de los mejores tiradores de tres en la historia de la NBA. Sin embargo, el hecho que Allen esté dispuesto a reunirse con el presidente del Heat, Pat Riley, insinúa que las limitaciones financieras del Heat quizás no sean un obstáculo.
