Este 10 de julio será la primera vez que el campeón mexicano Julio César Chávez encare al argentino Sergio Martínez.
En lo que será el inicio de la gira de promoción el campeón Medio del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo se encontrará con el Maravilla Martínez en Los Ángeles, California, en la primera parada promocional del pleito que tienen proyectado para el 15 de septiembre en el Thomas & Mack Center de Las Vegas, Nevada.

La segunda escala está proyectada para el 11 de julio en Las Vegas, seguida por una visita a Nueva York el 12.
La gira promocional terminará el 13 de julio en la Ciudad de México.

Después de casi un año de espera, el argentino, actual monarca Diamante del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo, obtendrá la oportunidad de pelear por el título mundial que cedió en junio del 2011.

“Estoy ansioso por que llegue el momento de enfrentarlo y demostrarle que todo lo que ha hablado es mentira. Le cerraré la boca”, sentenció el monarca mexicano, quien conquistó el título al arrebatárselo al alemán Sebastian Zbik en junio del 2011 por decisión mayoritaria.

La empresa promotora del evento anunció que los boletos para la pelea saldrán a la venta el 12 de julio y podrán ser adquiridos en la página www.unlvtickets.com. Tendrán un costo que va de los 600 dólares a 25.
