De acuerdo con información del diario argentino Olé y El Clarín, con dos goles de Trezeguet, el River Plate le ganó 2-0 a Almirante Brown y se consagró campeón de la B Nacional. Después de 363 días de angustia, el River vuelve a la máxima categoría del fútbol argentino. El Millo está de vuelta.

Le ganó 2-0 a Almirante Brown en el Monumental con goles de Trezeguet y se consagró campeón de la B Nacional. Con su victoria, alcanzó el ascenso sin depender de otros resultados. Y volverá a jugar en Primera desde la próxima temporada.

El River Plate volvió a casa, a la categoría de la que nunca debió irse, a la Primera que honró durante 110 años de historia y abandonó durante 363 días. La triste pesadilla, como señala el diario Olé, "los retorcijones de estómago, las noches en vela, al fin quedaron atrás. Serán anécdota. Historia difícil de olvidar. Pasado triste, doloroso, pero pasado al fin. Gracias a Dios. Y a David".
