El argentino Lucas Matthysse aspira a sumar una victoria más este fin de semana cuando enfrente al ex campeón mundial mexicano Humberto Soto en el Staples Center de Los Ángeles, dentro de la cartelera que protagonizarán Víctor Ortiz contra Josesito López.

En la última conferencia de prensa, Matthysse aseguró que su preparación fue muy buena pues sabe que ante el sinaloense tiene un rival fuerte e inteligente.

“Será una pelea grande. Haremos buena pelea porque Humberto es un gran peleador”, dijo Matthysse, quien en sus únicas dos derrotas fue vencido por decisión dividida.

Debido a sus derrotas tan controvertidas, Matthysse aspira en esta ocasión a conseguir una victoria por nocaut para no tener que recurrir a los jueces.

“Creo que fui robado ante Zab Judah y con Devon Alexander, así que espero un nocaut. No quiero depender de los jueces, quiero una buena pelea. Respeto mucho a Soto por tener varios campeonatos, pero viene de divisiones más livianas. Mi fuerza me ayudará a ganar”, dijo el sudamericano de 29 años.

Por su parte, Soto – bicampeón mundial en diferentes divisiones – comentó que esta pelea le representa un gran reto pues quiere lucir pues tiene dos años que no se presenta en Estados Unidos.

“Mucho se habla de que he perdido velocidad y fuerza por haber subido a las 140 libras pero no es así. Demostré en mis últimas peleas que puedo manejarlos bien”, aseguró el peleador de 32 años, quien aspira a convertirse retador en del campeón Superligero de la división, el boricua Danny García.

La "Zorrita" Soto, quien no ha sido vencido desde el 2007, aseguró traer un plan de trabajo bien estructurado, pero aseguró que las condiciones pueden cambiar de último momento y para eso va bien preparado.

Soto mantiene un record de 58 triunfos, 34 nocauts, 7 derrotas y dos empates.
