Conciente de que el trabajo es lo que lo ha llevado a la posición que ocupa, Julio César Chávez Jr. declaró que tras la victoria que obtuvo ante Andy Lee sólo descansará tres semanas antes de volver al gimnasio.

El campeón mundial Medio del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo declaró que con miras a llegar en excelentes condiciones a la pelea que tiene pactada con el argentino Sergio Martínez el 15 de septiembre en Las Vegas, Nevada, abrirá su campo de entrenamiento a más tardar la segunda semana de julio.

Chávez Carrasco deberá enfrentar a Martínez para exponer la corona mundial que conquistó en junio del 2011, al vencer al alemán Sebastian Zbik.

“Me siento muy bien, no salí golpeado y pues yo quisiera ya meterme a entrenar, pero junto a mi preparador y mi entrenador acordamos descansar totalmente, aunque haré natación y tenis, para después regresar a los entrenamientos”, explicó Julio César, quien aseguró que para esta ocasión se concentrará tres semanas en Toluca, Estado de México, y después completará su preparación en Nevada.

El hijo del ex campeón mundial mexicano aseguró que entrenará el doble para el compromiso ante 'Maravilla' Martínez, pues la motivación está en su punto máximo pues pretende “callar bocas”.

“Nosotros no rehuimos a nadie, el 15 de septiembre callaré algunas bocas que han hablado de más, esos dimes y diretes me motivan más que nunca, ya les demostré que soy un Chávez mejor y ante Martínez seré mucho mejor, no tengo dudas de mi triunfo sobre el argentino”, dijo el sinaloense de 26 años, quien dijo trabajará en su defensa y sobre todo en ser un boxeador más activo y efectivo sobre el ring.
