El peleador estadounidense Andy Lee está seguro de que esta, su primera oportunidad por un título mundial, será la buena.

Este fin de semana el boxeador de 28 años buscará destronar al mexicano Julio César Chávez Carrasco y alzarse como campeón mundial Medio del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo en el Sun Bowl de El Paso, Texas.

"Estoy seguro de que lo lograré. Entrené muy fuerte durante tres meses y sé que lo haré. Tengo todas las ventajas para este pleito. La distancia y el peso serán cosas que me ayuden a definir la pelea", dijo el peleador zurdo, quien sólo tiene una derrota en su carrera profesional.

Lee, quien es entrenado por Emanuel Steward, comentó que para esta contienda su plan de trabajo será muy específico y que no saldrá del plan durante la contienda.

"No dejaré que se me acerque. Boxearé y lo mantendré lejos. Pero si se da que me tenga que parar a intercambiar golpes lo haré, pues yo también aguanto castigo", señaló el peleador de origen irlandés.
