KIEV, Ucrania (AP) — Inglaterra superó el viernes 3-2 a Suecia y la eliminó de la Eurocopa.

Theo Walcott anotó un gol a los 64 minutos, el del empate transitorio 2-2, y luego dio el pase a Danny Welbeck para la diana del triunfo a los 78.

Andy Carroll abrió la cuenta por Inglaterra con un magnífico cabezazo a los 23, pero Suecia igualó con un autogol de Glen Johnson y se fue arriba con un cabezazo de Olof Mellberg.

Fue el primer triunfo de Inglaterra sobre Suecia en ocho partidos, y ahora los ingleses sólo necesitan un empate contra Ucrania en su último partido del Grupo D para avanzar a los cuartos de final.
