SAN ANTONIO (AP) — El francés Tony Parker anotó 20 puntos, el argentino Manu Ginóbili añadió 20 y los Spurs de San Antonio siguieron perfectos en los playoffs al doblegar el martes 120-111 al Thunder de Oklahoma City en el segundo partido de la final de la Conferencia del Oeste.

Así, San Antonio ha recorrido la mitad del camino para resolver la final de la Conferencia en un suspiro.

Los Spurs impusieron un récord de la NBA, al conseguir su vigésima victoria consecutiva entre la temporada regular y los playoffs. Llegaron al encuentro compartiendo esa marca con los Lakers de 2000-2001, que ganaron 19 encuentros seguidos antes de caer ante Filadelfia en el primer compromiso de la final de la NBA.

Aquellos Lakers terminaron coronándose y no hay motivo para creer que los Spurs no harán lo mismo. Dieron una cátedra a la ofensiva durante tres periodos, al acertar el 60% de sus tiros libres y al tomar una ventaja de incluso 22 puntos en el tercer cuarto.

Parker repartió ocho de las 27 asistencias de los Spurs, que acertaron 11 de 26 triples. San Atonio atinó sólo 10 de 23 disparos de campo en el cuarto periodo, y aun así embocó el 55% de sus tiros en el partido.

Ginóbili jugó 25:43 minutos, en los que acertó seis de 11 disparos de campo y convirtió siete de ocho desde la línea. Atrapó además un rebote, repartió cuatro asistencias y cometió cuatro faltas.

"Algunas veces todo sale exactamente como lo planeamos", dijo el entrenador Gregg Popovich, acerca de la ofensiva. "En otras ocurre un milagro, ésa es la verdad. No todo siempre sale como lo planeas, pero los buenos jugadores suelen conseguirlo".

El Thunder tuvo una reacción encomiable cerca del final para acercarse a seis puntos, pero Parker, Ginóbili y Tim Duncan ayudaron a que San Antonio resolviera la misión y tomara una ventaja de 2-0 de cara al tercer encuentro, que se disputará el jueves por la noche en Oklahoma City.
