PARMA, Italia (AP) — El defensor de Juventus Leonardo Bonucci fue confirmado en el equipo que llevará Italia al Campeonato Europeo pese a que circulan versiones de que está siendo investigado en relación con un arreglo de partidos.
El lunes se había anunciado que Domenico Criscito había sido marginado porque estaba siendo investigado.
Pero Prandelli aclaró el martes que, a diferencia de Criscito, "Bonucci no ha recibido notificación alguna de los fiscales. Por eso va con nosotros".
Criscito sí recibió una notificación oficial de que está siendo investigado y Prandelli consideró que sería demasiado arriesgado llevarlo, porque probablemente tendría la cabeza en otro lado y además podría ser citado a declarar en cualquier momento.
Uno de los jugadores que descartó Prandelli es el delantero Mattia Destro, lo que implica que Italia llevará a la Eurocopa a Mario Balotelli y Antonio Cassano.
Además de Destro, Andrea Ranocchia, un defensor, fue el otro jugador descartado el martes, en que Italia entregó la lista definitiva.
Angelo Ogbonna, que jugó en la segunda división con Torino en la temporada pasada, sigue en el plantel.
Italia está en el mismo grupo que España, Croacia e Irlanda en la Eurocopa.
