Lionel Messi, otro futbolista latino acusado de racismo

Una vez más un futbolista latino está inmiscuido en una acusación de racismo. Y no se trata de cualquiera, es el mejor jugador del mundo, el argentino Lionel Messi, a quien señalan de llamar 'negro' a su rival.

En entrevista con el diario NuSport, el jugador holandés Roysthon Drenthe, aseguró que tuvo conflictos con 'Leo' en el campo y que éste se refirió a él varias veces como 'negro'.

"He jugado mucho contra Messi los últimos años y siempre tuvimos problemas. ¿Sabes lo que más me molestaba? La forma en que me hablaba, siempre me llamaba 'negro, negro'", dijo el actual jugador del Everton de Inglaterra.

Ya con la acusación sobre la mesa, el holandés trató de minimizar el incidente: "Entiendo que es habitual en Sudamérica, pero no puedo soportarlo", dijo.

Llama la atención que Drenthe valide la versión que el uruguayo Luis Suárez dio cuando se vio implicado también en acusaciones de racismo por parte de Patrice Evra. El charrúa aseguró que no llamó 'negro' al jugador del Manchester United con mala intención, que lo hizo por la costumbre que priva en su país.

El tristemente célebre problema de Suárez con Evra, le costó al latinoamericano ocho juegos de suspensión y una etiqueta de racista.

En la misma entrevista, Drenthe implicó también a los argentinos Heinze e Higuaín: "Mahamadou Diarra, mi compañero de equipo en el Real Madrid, se enfadaba cuando Higuaín y Heinze le hablaban de ese modo".

Los ataques por racismo son una constante en el fútbol internacional, pero ahora se han extendido con una rapidez inusual al fútbol latinoamericano. En febrero de este año, un jugador de raza negra en Uruguay, denunció acoso por el color de su piel.
