Osmel Sousa, nació en Cuba. De adolescente radicó en Venezuela y desde ese momento persiguió un gran sueño: ser el hacedor de reinas y lo logró. Conocido como uno de los que más Miss Universos ha conseguido para su país de adopción, este empresario ha estado siempre en el centro de la polémica y se le ha criticado ya que cuando tiene una joven en la mira, lo primero que hace es mandarla a hacerse cirugías estéticas.
Presidente del jurado de Nuestra Belleza Latina desde el comienzo, la crueldad de Osmel ha hecho que se convierta casi en un personaje cómico dentro del show, sobre todo a la hora de elegir a las candidatas.
La frase: "Eres bella, firma aquí", se ha convertido en un clásico que ha traspasado hasta el propio show. Su bandera es la polémica, muchas veces hasta la exageración, estando dispuesto hasta de romper cualquier tipo de regla para ser coherente con lo que piensa o para llamar la atención.
Sus eternas peleas con Lupita Jones y su rivalidad por el Miss Universo, los han convertido a los dos en el dúo de amigos- enemigos, pues todo el mundo sabe que en el fondo no sólo se respetan, sino que hasta se quieren como hermanos.
